“ Newspaper Article: November Death Toll For Iraqis Sets Record; By: Steven R. Hurst; San Francisco Chronicle”
The number are staggering; In the past eight days is at least 715 Iraqis have fallen victim to the country’s sectarian death. In the last couple of weeks a lot of Iraqis have died for almost no reason except just being in the way. A visiting Syrian official really wants U.S. troops to get out of Iraq because a lot of innocent citizen are being killed. There have been a lot of suicide, car bombs attacks in Iraq that have killed people and officials want/ need us to get out of there. A roadside bomb killed just the other day 11 people and it injured another 10. The main point is that we have been in Iraq for 4 and half years and the U.S. troops haven’t accomplished anything, but killed innocent civilians.
In this article I agree that the U.S. troops need to move out of Iraq. This is my reasoning because we are killing random people that aren’t involved in the war and are not fighting. These people in Iraq have no choose but to die because they are in the wrong time at the wrong place. We haven’t done anything there, but occupying the space and killed people there. Also, not to mention that American and Iraqi troops are dieing also so we need to give up and retreat. I hope this reasoning comes true because if it does then many lives could be saved in the future.

Yahoo News: Alcoa plans to cut 6,700 jobs worldwide: By DANIEL LOVERING, AP Business Writer
PITTSBURGH - Alcoa Inc. plans to cut 6,700 jobs worldwide over the next year as part of a plan to boost profits, the aluminum maker said Tuesday.
The company also said it will form a joint venture with the Sapa Group of Norway's Orkla ASA that would combine its soft alloy extrusion business with Sapa's Profiles extruded aluminum business.
Alcoa's soft alloy extrusion business has about 6,400 employees at 22 plants in eight countries. Three of those plants — in Warren, Ohio; Tifton, Ga.; and Plant City, Fla. — will not be included in the venture and will be sold, Alcoa said.
The job cuts represent about 5 percent of the work force for Alcoa, which has 129,000 employees in 44 countries.
Cutting people from their jobs might profit the company with more money but lets more people linger with no jobs. The 6,700 employees will be let loose without a job to support themselves or their family. Now a days is hard enough to find a job that you can stay and enjoy with. In this article i dont agree that they should cut 6,700 employees from their jobs because everyone has to make a living out of something and that something is their job being lost if they were cut.

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Many people on the run-down northwest Atlanta street where Kathryn Johnston lived fortify their windows with metal bars and arm themselves for protection.
Johnston, 92, was no exception.
Alone in her home, she was waiting with her gun on Tuesday night when a group of plainclothes officers with a warrant knocked down her door in a search for drugs, police said.
She opened fire, wounding three officers, before being shot to death, police said. (Watch niece's fury at police shooting )
Assistant Police Chief Alan Dreher called the killing "tragic and unfortunate" but said the officers were justified in returning fire.
"You don't know who's in the house until you open that door," Dreher said Wednesday. "And once they forced open the door, they were immediately fired upon."
The Rev. Markel Hutchins, a civil rights activist and spokesman for Johnston's family, said he could understand why the elderly woman would arm herself.
"She was afraid," Hutchins said. "This is a horrifying situation in a neighborhood where crime happens often. This incident is a result of a mix-up."
The officers had gone to the old woman's house with a search warrant after buying drugs there from a man known only as Sam, police said. (Watch what police and family say about the shooting -- 2:53 )
Police issued a "John Doe" warrant on Wednesday for the arrest of Sam, believed to be in his early to mid 30s, who allegedly sold the drugs to the undercover agent.
Dreher would not say how the dealer knew Johnston.
Investigators also said they found drugs in the home after Johnston was killed.
Officer Joe Cobb, a police spokesman, said the type of drug involved would not be disclosed until it was verified by the crime lab.
District Attorney Paul Howard said his office is looking into the shooting but that a preliminary review indicated the officers had a right to search the home.
Crime and drugs are a part of the landscape in the rough neighborhood where Johnston lived, and her neighbors said they do what it takes to protect themselves. "It's the roughest neighborhood in Georgia," said 56-year-old Allen Pernel, who lives a few blocks from Johnston's home. "If she thought somebody was coming into her house, she did what any of us would have done." Al Harley, a 50-year-old homeless man who hangs out in front of a neighborhood convenience store, said residents follow a sort of credo: "Don't let anyone disrespect your door." The police chief said the officers had identified themselves and then forced open the door of Johnson's house where she had lived for 17 years. Investigator Gary Smith, 38, was shot in the leg and Investigator Cary Bond, 38, was struck in the arm. Investigator Gregg Junnier, 40, was hit in the leg, the face and his bulletproof vest. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover. Johnston had no children and her closest relative was a 75-year-old niece, neighbors said. "She hardly came outside her home," said Tameka Walker, 28, who lives behind Johnston's house and used to visit her. "She's not a 92-year-old grouchy old woman you think she was. She's a very nice person."
I think it was the right decision for the cops to have shot her. Well, first of all the lady has a right to have the gun, mainly because of the area in which she lived in. When the cops rang her doorbell, she quickly ran away fearing that someone may want to kill her. Since the cops had a warrant they had the right to bust inside the house. Once they got in she open fired, wounding three officers. The cops were forced to shoot her down, even if she didn't intend to shoot them. In the end the cops only did what they are authoritized to do.
"Man with toy gun disrupts Miami Herald By JENNIFER KAY, Associated Press Writer;yahoo news"
In this article a cartoonist is arresed for carring a knife and a black plastic toy gun that resembled a real semiautomatic weapon into a miami herald. He did this to unmask the true conflicts in the newspaper. the man was dressed in all in black with the letters "FBI" written across the back of his polo shirt, he pointed the plastic gun at three El Nuevo Herald employees and demanded to see the newspaper's executive editor, Humberto Castello. He kept repeating that he didn't want to hurt anybody and, that he's not a violent person, that he's not a criminal. once the police calmed him down.He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and was being held on $22,500 bond.
I think that he should have go a higher sentence, because he went into a public establishment with a gun eventhough it was fake. the peole that the cartoonist was pointing the gun at did not know that the gun was fake. nither did the people around them. i think that he could have went in calmly asking for the newspaper's executive instead of going in all mad and anrgy with a fake gun.
the article about the man with the fake gun is from

Newspaper Article:Getting Everybody Back in the Game (Nintendo Wii Review)
Article Link:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/24/arts/24wii.html?_r=1&ref=technology&oref=slogin
This News article Talks About The Features Of the Newly Released Nintendo Wii.This Game System Has Shown Improvement Graphics And Also In Features. This Game System Is A System That Is Not Hard To Figure Out And Easy To Use.Nintendos Goal For The Production Of This Unit Is To Try To Have Everyone Play It And Try Not To Have It Be So Coplictaed Like Any Other system. The Controllers Are Quite Different From Any Other Game Console. The Retail Price Of This Game Unit Is $249.99.This Price Is Alot Lower Than The Xbox 360 And The Playstation 3.With This Game Console Nintendo Is Not Looking To Have The Best Rating But To Have Everyone Enjoy It.
I think That This Game Console Is Very Good From What I Read In The Reviews.Id Rather Buy On of these Instead of a playstation 3 because of the price.I agree with Nintendo with there goal because sales matter but not as much as having everyone play it.Theres alot of hype for this video game and i want to try it out and lives up to the hype.Overall i think this video games sounds good from the reviews.
